On August 28, 2025, a powerful tradition continues as the Benzie Central Huskies proudly host the Frankfort Panthers in the 3rd Annual Benzie County "Salute to Service" Game — an unforgettable evening dedicated to honoring those who serve and sacrifice.

In partnership with the Benzie County Veterans' Affairs Committee, this special night brings together players, coaches, fans, and communities from both schools to recognize and celebrate Veterans, active-duty Military, and First Responders, while also paying tribute to the fallen heroes who gave their lives in service to our country.

The night begins with a pre-game ceremony at 6:00 PM, setting the tone for an event that is about far more than football. All Veterans, active Armed Forces members, and First Responders are invited to attend and participate—free of charge—as our honored guests.

Players will take the field in custom-designed jerseys, proudly representing their schools and the spirit of service. A portion of all store proceeds benefits 22 2 NONE, a Michigan-based nonprofit working to prevent veteran suicide and support veterans facing life’s toughest battles.

Founded to bring hope and help to those who once stood to protect us, 22 2 NONE shines a light on the alarming truth that an average of 22 veterans take their own lives every day. Their mission is one of action, compassion, and connection, and your support makes a difference.

The Benzie Central football program is deeply honored to stand alongside our military heroes and first responders. On this night, under the glow of stadium lights, we don’t just play the game—we honor the brave, remember the fallen, and show our unwavering gratitude to those who serve.
